Stephen King - Managing director of economics and strategy for HSBC in London, as well as the head of the Bank's global research team of analysts, economists, and strategists. Before his appointment to the directorship in 1998, he was responsible for articulating HSBC's views on Europe and its common currency. Since 2001, he has written a weekly column for The Independent, and occasionally contributes to the German financial newspaper, Handelsblatt.

Stefan Biesdorf - Principal in McKinsey & Co’s German offices. He specialises in engagements in the Software, Telecoms, Venture Capital and Computer Hardware industries. After studying Physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, he worked as a programmer in a multimedia agency in 1995. From 1996 to 1998 he completed his PhD in Neurophysiology at the LMU in Munich. During his PhD, Dr. Biesdorf studied Marketing and Microeconomics at Stern Business School in New York (1997). He joined McKinsey’s Munich office in 1998.

Alex Singleton –President of the Globalisation Institute, a think tank founded in London that develops policies on trade, competitiveness and development. Philippe Legrain –A journalist and writer, based in London but interested in the whole world. Philippe is fascinated by how economics, politics and culture combine to form the big picture and how the world is coming together through globalization while becoming ever more diverse through cultural mixing and individual choice. Edgar E Peters – Chief Investment Strategist and Director of Systematic Asset Allocation for PanAgora Asset Management, Inc. Author of Complexity, Risk and Financial Markets and Chaos and Order in the Capital Markets. He is an expert in chaos theory and its application to free-market uncertainty, and the complexity of market trading and random behaviour.
Prof. David Myddelton - The Emeritus Professor of Finance and Accounting at the Cranfield School of Management. Apart from textbooks, his main publications have been about taxation, inflation accounting and accounting standards. He is Chairman of the Institute of Economic Affairs. His most recent book is: ‘They Meant Well: government project disasters’.
Kori Udovicki - Assistant Secretary-General of United Nations, Assistant Administrator of UNDP and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). She holds a Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in Economics, both from Yale University. After working as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Finance and Economy in the Serbian Government, Udovicki became Serbia’s Minister of Energy and Mines in 2002, and was appointed the Governor of National Bank of Serbia in 2003. She also has strong international experience working as an IMF economist focusing on former Yugoslavia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Before joining the UN, Udovicki served as President of the Centre for Advanced Economic Studies, a Belgrade-based NGO working to advance economic research and education in Southeast Europe.
Sam Williams - Consultant with Frontier Economics, one of Europe's leading micro economics advisory firms, and a Warwick graduate. Sam has extensive experience of the application of economics to regulatory matters, public policy issues, business strategy and competition law. Sam has advised a range of FTSE 100 companies, government departments and regulators - and in doing so has worked on some of the most high profile and topical issues in business and economics.
