The Warwick Economics Summit 2008 - Tickets and Bookings
The Warwick Economics Summit is the Economics Society’s annual flagship event. Entirely student run, it is the largest academic conference of its kind in Europe. Every year, world class international speakers address 400 young and promising students from various top-ranked universities in the UK and the rest of Europe.
The Summit is aimed at “inspiring students to shape tomorrow’s world by engaging with today’s.” It does not only revolve around ‘pure’ economics but also touches on many other relevant topics in the overlapping spheres of social studies such as development, politics, globalisation, and international relations, to attract a wide audience from many different academic disciplines. At the same time, it provides a platform to debate current economics issues among peers and to create cross-university and cross-border links between students.
All Internal tickets and External Basic tickets include:
- Access to all talks and events throughout the summit
- Wine reception with sandwich buffet dinner on Friday
- Afternoon refreshments on Saturday
- Entrance to the Dinner and Dance Event on Saturday.
External Standard and Premium tickets include:
- All benefits of the Internal ticket
- All meals throughout the weekend.
- Accommodation in a local hotel (Standard: same-sex twin room. Premium: single room)
- Transport between Warwick University and hotel.
Procedures for purchasing tickets:
1) Internal Students:
Tickets are sold by Advance and the event is treated like a normal Union event. Buy tickets on the Union website or at Advance directly.
2) External Students
The procedure will be the standard used for members of the general public or external students that attend union events.

Fill in your details in the form
After registering with the Students’ Union
Find the event by browsing under “Events” on the Union website
Select the ticket of your choice
Select your preferred payment method
You will receive confirmation of the transaction on the email address provided in your registration
